The Board Chairman of the Ghana National Petroleum Authority (GNPC), Ato Ahwoi, says he would take legal action against New Patriotic Party activist, John Kumah who alleged that President Mills is gay and engages in the act with him (Ato Ahowi).
He has also indicated his intention to sue all media houses that aired the story relating to the allegation and the subsequent arrest of John Kumah.
In an interview with Citi News, Mr. Ahwoi who expressed discontent about the allegation and subsequent publications in various media outlets says he has asked his lawyer to file a suit for 10million Ghana cedis.
“I have told my lawyers to file a suit of 10 million cedis against that Kumah boy”
NPP activist, John Kumah was arrested on Wednesday July 27, for making unsubstantiated allegations that President Mills is gay in apparent response to a similar allegation by another NDC activist who accused MP for Okaikoi South, Nana Akomea and NPP flagbearer Nana Addo Dankwa of being homosexuals.
He was arrested at Accra based Hot FM when he was about to enter another political discussion program.
Meanwhile, President Mills has once again spoken out against the politics of insults which according to him is destroying the moral fibre of society.
President Mills said such verbal violence which is more often than not negative and false must be condemned by all.
